Josephine Gattuso Hendin’s novel, The Right Thing to Do, won the 1988 American Book Award. Kirkus Reviews has said about her writing “Intriguing, feminist, acerbic, thought-provoking. [Hendin] writes sharply . . . her point of view is truly pointed.” Her most recent book is Heartbreakers: Women and Violence in American Culture and Literature. For mixed media artist Jennifer Llewellyn, art and poetry “are processes that involve fearless experimentation in an effort to create a work exploding with visual or mental images.”
